PROJECT: I KNOW MY WORLD AND LET OTHERS KNOW ME.
 
THEME: I AM ABLE TO GENERATE PEACE

GROUP: 2nd Grade

DATE: May 8th to Friday 12th, 2017

Session: 1 (Monday )

GROUP GOALS: Joining a group

DAILY ROUTINE: Date, We learn…, Brain Gym ( el bostezo ), Mental Math, Copy Homework.

CURRICULAR AREA:

SUBAREA
Writing and representing
Planning Process
 
DESIRED OUTCOMES (PLO’S)
 Uses complete simple sentences and compound sentences.
 Recognizes when a problema exists
 
DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products): The class KiVa contract.

ACTIVITIES: 1. Daily routine. ( 10 min. ) 
2. Kids copy on their vocabulary notebook vocabulary words 1 to 5 week 33 one time (10min.) 
3. Kids illustrate each one with a small drawing. (10 min.) 
4. They write the homework on homework section. (10 min)
5. In pairs kids answer these questions: In what ways could you enter a discussion or a game? Why can’t you sometimes ge tinto a group? What does it feel like to be excluded? (15 min.)
6. They write the class KiVa contract “No one is excluded!” a draw a simple symbol. (15min.)

RESOURCES: vocabulary notebook

PLACE: classroom

CLASS ORGANIZATION: individual, pairs

Session: 2 ( Tuesday )

GROUP GOALS: Interacts with others for the purposes of visualize and compare the story with a movie, TV program or another book.  

DAILY ROUTINE: Date, Brain Gym (el bostezo),Spell 5 words, Copy Homework.

DESIRED OUTCOMES (PLO’S)
Interacts with others for the purposes of making questions and visualize pictures.
Infers the problable outcome of an event or behaviour based on observations.
Uses of vocabulary words .

GROUP GOAL: They will publish in Facebook and Twitter their reading comprehension work. Students will write and illustrate new vocabulary words on the notebook.

DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products):  Reading comprehension work published in Facebook and Twitter. Students new vocabulary words written on the notebook.

ACTIVITIES: 1. Daily routine. ( 10 min. )  
Kids listen to the story “Chicken Licken “ an English folk tale. (10min.)     
They  visualize the pictures about the story as they listen to it.   ( 10 min. )
They draw  on a sheet of paper what they visualized. (15min.)
 In pairs they share their work in Facebook.(10min.)
        6.     Kids copy on their vocabulary notebook vocabulary words 6 to 10 week 33 one time. ( 10 min. )
        7.      Kids illustrate each one with a small drawing. ( 10 min. )
        8.     They write the homework in homework section. ( 10 min.

DAILY ROUTINE: Date, Brain Gym (el bostezo ), Mental Math, Copy Homework.

Visual Arts

DESIRED OUTCOMES (PLOS):
Demonstrates a willingness to talk about their own participation in group activities.
2.   Uses recognizable letters when writing familiar words.

DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products): Mother’s Day Performance

ACTIVITIES: 1. Kids prepare for their presentation.
They sing and act “ La Patita”
With all the school children they sing “ Fly Me to the Moon”, You’ll Be in My Heart”, and “Ojitos de Cascabel”

 Numbers

DESIRED OUTCOMES (PLOS)
        1. Additions and subtractions 
        2. Uses prior vocabulary when interacting with others.

DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products): solved math quiz

ACTIVITIES: 1.  Daily routine. ( 10 min. )
      2 .Kids copy on their vocabulary notebook vocabulary words 11 to 15 week 33 one time. ( 10 min.)
      3. Kids  illustrate each one with a small drawing. ( 10 min. )

 Uses conventional spelling for some of the words used in their writing.

DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products): Dictated words

ACTIVITIES: 1. Daily routine. ( 10 min. )  
                       2. In a sheet of paper kids write ten vocabulary words dictated by the teacher. (15 min.)
  3. Children write homework in homework notebook. ( 10 min. )
  4. Kids leave school at 12:00 o’clock because of Teacher’s Celebration.
  

RESOURCES: 17 sheet of paper

HOMEWORK: Read 10 minutes.
